The four elements

Aqua and Ignis have no half steps in their scales, so whatever order the rods strike in, the notes agree. Terra (E–F) and Aria (B–C) each carry one, which adds a little tension and color. Past that, use your ears rather than the page — every element has its own recording, and the four are easy to tell apart.

If you want the full range, or you play for groups, the Koshi Chimes Set of 4 is Terra, Aqua, Aria and Ignis together. They’re made to be played in any combination.
Playing them
Each chime hangs from a cord and sounds when you turn it by hand or when the air moves it. There’s no technique to learn. Practitioners use them to open and close sound baths, in meditation and yoga classes, and in everyday relaxation practice.

Questions
What’s the difference between the four chimes? The tuning, listed above. Aqua and Ignis are the two without half steps; Terra and Aria each carry one. Listening to all four recordings takes about a minute and settles it faster than any description.
Are Koshi chimes wind chimes? They work the same way — they hang and sound when moved — and are often listed as wind chimes. Most buyers hang them indoors or hold them by the cord and turn them by hand.
