About this Gong
These are the same gongs as the rest of the Raven Sounds line — same bronze, same construction, same styles. They cost less because they have not been individually recorded, so we cannot tell you the note before it ships, and because they ship without a mallet. You choose the style and the size; the note is whatever that particular gong came out at.
- Size: 18"
- Style: Sun Gong
- Material: Bronze
Handmade bronze, 80% copper and 20% tin. Because these gongs are not individually recorded, this listing has no sound file. If you want to hear the exact instrument before you buy it, the recorded gongs are in the Raven Sounds gong collection.

Why Raven Sounds Gongs?
Same Gong, Random Note
Every Raven Sounds gong is made to our own spec in bronze that runs 80% copper and 20% tin, and inspected before it is listed. The gongs on this page skip the recording, so we do not publish a note or a sound file for them, and they ship without a mallet. That is why they cost less.
